Letting Costs

As private landlords and not Agents, we do not charge letting fees. Rents are due on a monthly 52 weeks of the year. This means you have use of the property even out of University term times - great if you want to use the house in the summer - and good to know you don't need to look for storage for your belongings!

Rent & Deposit Information

We require the deposit to be paid at the time of exchange of the lease. We will also require a completed standing order or posted dated cheques in our favour to cover the period of the lease. We have a very large inventory in the properties and therefore charge a realistic deposit but your money is protected by law and registered with Tenancy Deposit Solutions.

We normally arrange a pre-surrender inspection about 3 weeks before the end of the lease and go through what is missing based on the inventory we do when you move in. We prefer that anything broken is replaced rather than deduct money from the deposit but we give you plenty of time to do this. Remember, you are dealing with local landlords not faceless institutions; we will help you in any way we can and, unlike estate agents, we do not charge a signing on fee or key money.
