How do we make money?
As our services are free for all landlords, letting agents and students a common question is how do we make money? Well, do we have to!? The internet is a dynamic place many site such as wikipedia are completely free and we are similar. We have a number of income streams and this allows us to offer this fantastic service for nothing.
How do we advertise the website?
We can reassure that we aim to have as many users as possible visiting the site and so use a variety of advertising mediums, whether this be on campus, within newspapers or magazines and the internet.
Why does my house show as let in the search?
Please note the 'when' option in the search. This defaults to July as of the 1st November so that undergraduates find your house. This is done so that post-graduate students do note enquire about let properties.
How do I show my house as let?
One of the reasons we can offer this service for free is because we try to offer as much user generated content as possible. To display your house as let, simply login -> click 'Your Houses' and the large 'Let' button, it's that simple!
Why do we ask for your address on registration?
If you hold a landlord/letting agent account your address is not accessible by users, it is purely used for our records. We do not hassle you with marketing material, please refer to our privacy policy for more details.
Why does the site appear unusable?
It is likely if you're experiencing visual difficulties with the site that you are using an unsupported browser such as Internet Explorer 6 (or earlier versions). We recomend that you use Firefox or upgrade Internet Explorer.
No Search Results were Yielded?
Occassionally very regular users of the site may experience a scenario whereby no search results are yielded in the results box, this is a simple caching problem and just requires a site reload which can be done by holding the 'ctrl' key on your key board and pressing 'f5'.
